Complete Genome Sequence of Lactococcus lactis subsp. cremoris 3107, Host for the Model Lactococcal P335 Bacteriophage TP901-1.

The complete genome sequence of Lactococcus lactis subsp. cremoris 3107, a dairy starter strain and a host for the model lactococcal P335 bacteriophage TP901-1, is reported here. The circular chromosome of L. lactis subsp. cremoris 3107 is among the smallest genomes of currently sequenced lactococcal strains. L. lactis subsp. cremoris 3107 harbors a complement of six plasmids, which appears to be a reflection of its adaptation to the nutrient-rich dairy environment.

Complete Genome Sequence of the Putative Phosphonate Producer Streptomyces sp. Strain I6, Isolated from Indonesian Mangrove Sediment.

Streptomyces sp. strain I6 is a novel strain isolated from an Indonesian mangrove sediment sample. Bioinformatic analysis of the genome sequence of Streptomyces sp. I6 revealed 23 biosynthetic gene clusters. One of them encodes the synthesis of a putative phosphonate secondary metabolite, a class of underexplored natural compounds with great pharmaceutical potential.

Complete Genome Sequence of Malassezia restricta CBS 7877, an Opportunist Pathogen Involved in Dandruff and Seborrheic Dermatitis.

Malassezia restricta, one of the predominant basidiomycetous yeasts present on human skin, is involved in scalp disorders. Here, we report the complete genome sequence of the lipophilic Malassezia restricta CBS 7877 strain, which will facilitate the study of the mechanisms underlying its commensal and pathogenic roles within the skin microbiome.

Complete Genome Sequence of an N-Acyl Homoserine Lactone Producer, Breoghania sp. Strain L-A4, Isolated from Rhizosphere of Phragmites australis in a Coastal Wetland.

The Breoghania sp. strain L-A4 was isolated from the rhizosphere of Phragmites australis in the Qinhaungdao coastal wetland in China. Here, we present the complete genome sequence of strain L-A4, which consists of a chromosome of 5,029,620?bp with a G+C content of 64.53% and 4,964 coding DNA sequences. This strain was the first detected to produce N-acyl homoserine lactone (AHL) signals in a member of this genus.

Complete Genome Sequence of Humibacter aquilariae BT305, Isolated from the Small Intestine of Castrated Beef Cattle.

Members of the genus Humibacter, from the family Microbacteriaceae, have been isolated from sewage sludge compost, agarwood chips, and various soil samples. Here, we report the complete genome sequence of Humibacter aquilariae BT305, the first genome sequence identified within the genus Humibacter, which was isolated from the small intestine of castrated beef cattle.
