This week we are fortunate to be attending the annual Advances in Genome Biology & Technology (AGBT) meeting in Marco Island, FL. The conference is always jam-packed with top tier scientific presentations all day and well into the evening. There are several great presentations and posters we’re looking forward to, including some from our customers and scientific staff.
In our workshop session (Fri., Feb. 22, 3:20 PM), Eric Schadt from the Icahn Institute for Genomics and Multiscale Biology at Mount Sinai School of Medicine, will give a talk about new research using SMRT Sequencing for human genome analysis. If you want to hear the latest about the PacBio RS capabilities in de novo sequencing, genome finishing and epigenetics, don’t miss our CSO Jonas Korlach’s presentation in the Genomic Technologies Session (Sat., Feb. 23, 11:35 AM).
Check out the full program of presentations and activities from PacBio at AGBT 2013. And if you’re not able to attend the meeting, you don’t have to miss the excitement. We and many others will be tweeting from the event and will also be doing daily reviews on this blog. Safe travels and we look forward to a great event!
