Michele Farmer joined PacBio as Chief Accounting Officer in 2021. With two decades of finance and accounting experience, Michele specializes in driving financial integrity, operational efficiency, and robust controls. With a life sciences background, she has honed her skills in leadership, cost savings, compliance, and strategic planning, always with a focus on innovation, controls, and risk management. She is dedicated to fostering a culture of excellence and transparency while leveraging technology for enhanced controls.
Michele started her career as an auditor with PricewaterhouseCoopers and is a Certified Public Accountant. She earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting from San Diego State University.
