Susan Kim
Chief Financial Officer
Susan Kim joined PacBio as Chief Financial Officer in 2020 and brings twenty years of senior-level finance and operations experience to the company, after previously serving as Chief Financial Officer for leading venture-backed technology companies. Susan also serves as a Board Member of Pivot Bio, a leading nitrogen innovator delivering sustainable, self-fertilizing grain crops.
Early in Susan’s career, she worked as a technology investment banker and a semiconductor manufacturing engineer.
Susan earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemical Engineering from Stanford University and an Master of Business Administration and Master of Engineering Management from Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
Susan has been recognized as “Top Women Leaders in Biotechnology” by the Healthcare Technology Report in 2022; “Top 100 Chief Financial Officers by Alumni Spotlight in 2022; and “Most Influential Women in Bay Area Business” by the San Francisco Business Times in 2019.
